Woodside Store

Our learners enjoyed a meaningful hands-on living history experience at the Woodside Store last week. Our students engaged in activities to simulate life in the 1880’s: washing clothes with a washboard and an old-fashioned washing machine, making shakes (wooden shingles), using a two-man saw, filling store orders, and calculating prices as shopkeepers.
We hope these pictures spark many conversations at home about our off-site adventure!
